Manali is a hill station located in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It comes in Kullu district, which is 270 km away from the state capital, Shimla. Manali’s distance from the national capital Delhi is 544 Kms. It is a part of Beas river valley. It is a very popular tourist destination and serves as the way to Leh-Laddakh. The climate in Manali remains most cold during winters and moderate during summer.

·         Manu Maharaj Temple:This temple is dedicated to Rishi Manu, after whom the town is named. It is located at the distance of 3 Kms from the main market.

·         Hot water springs: Beas kund, Vashist, Kalath and Nehru kund are the natural springs which are known for treating the skin ailments. The water contains the traces of sulphur.

·         Solang Valley: This is the place to get the most picturesque view of the Himalyas. It is also known as ‘Snow Valley”. This place is quite popular among ski lovers.

·         Water Falls: The waterfalls like Jogini, Rozy, and Zana are located on the way to Rohtang. It is located in the middle of forests which makes this place a photographer’s paradise. These waterfalls are basically the result of melting glaciers. So the water falling from above is extremely cold.

·         By Air: The nearest airport is at Bhuntar which is 50 Kms away from Manali. Kullu is just 10 Kms away from this airport. One can opt to visit Kullu too if he is travelling by Air.

·         By Rail: The nearest railway station is at Joginder Nagar which is 162 Kms away from Manali. After reaching there you can hire a taxi or bus as per your convenience to reach Manali.
